Some types of copies and uses may incur fees. You can pay with cash (in-person at the Special Collections desk) or check (in-person or by mail).

Photocopies and scans

  • Letter- or legal-size paper: $0.10/page
  • Ledger-size paper: $0.20/page

By mail or email:

  • Up to 25 pages: $5.00
  • 26-100 pages: +$5.00
  • 101 pages or more: $0.10/page + $5.00 minimum S/H
Manuscripts, Archival Materials, Maps

At the desk:

  • Letter- or legal-size paper: $0.20/page
  • Ledger-size paper: $0.30/page

  • You may use copies of our materials only for your personal reference and research purposes.
  • You may not add copies of our materials to another library or repository.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a copy request in whole or in part, at any time, at our staff's discretion.
  • We generally do not copy fragile items. If an item is available on microfilm or has already been digitized, we will make copies from those versions.
  • We cannot always produce clear copies from original materials - you purchase copies at your own risk.
  • Copies of manuscript and archival materials are governed by any and all of the restrictions that govern the research use of their parent collections.
  • Items from the 20th and 21st centuries may contain sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right-to-privacy laws and regulations. You are responsible for any legal ramifications arising from disclosure of this information without the consent of the individuals involved.
  • Most manuscripts, sound recordings, photographs and moving images created in the past 120 years are protected under US Copyright Law. Transmission, reproduction, publication, or presentation (public display, performance, Internet presentation) of protected items require the permission of the copyright owners. It is your responsibility to obtain permissions.
