If you decide to discontinue your journal or pass publishing duties to someone at another institution, we will close out your journal's website and redirect visitors to the new site and to the back issues archived in Scholars Junction. We will also help you transfer your journal to its new home.
Policies and Guidelines
A member of the journal's staff with a governing or editorial role must be affiliated with MSU.
The content of the journal must consist primarily of peer reviewed, scholarly content. Non-refereed content must be clearly marked (editorials, book reviews, etc.).
Student-run publications must be sponsored by an actively-involved MSU faculty member, with the approval and continued support of a department, college, center, or professional organization.
Publications currently hosted elsewhere and proposing transfer to our hosting service must provide evidence of a reputable standing within its discipline.
Continuation of Service
Your journal must continuously conform to disciplinary standards for rigor and scholarship.
Your journal must clearly state peer review criteria and open access licensing structure.
Your journal must clearly state the names and institutional contact information for editors and editorial board members.
Your journal must provide complete citations, in the appropriate format, on at least the first or last page (before references) of each article.
Invoices, if any, must be paid to MSU Libraries within 60 days of receipt.
