Reserve A Room

Room capacities have been reduced for the Fall 2020 semester.

All users are expected to conform to the University's guidelines regarding social distancing and the use of face coverings.

MSU Libraries provide technologically-enhanced classrooms, meeting rooms, presentation and seminar spaces, auditoriums, studio spaces, and group study rooms. MSU faculty, staff, students, departments, and organizations can reserve these rooms for workshops, seminars, classroom instruction, special events, and meetings.


Mitchell Memorial Library

Policies

Individual rooms may have additional restrictions.

  • Rooms are available for reservation by MSU faculty, staff, or students during Library hours (including nights and weekends) on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The person responsible for reserving the room must sign in prior to using the room and MUST sign out when use has been completed.
  • If you no longer need a space you have reserved, please cancel so that others can use it.
  • Failure to follow the Libraries' policies and take care of the rooms could result in a patron's privileges being suspended. 

Auditorium

A large presentation space used for classes and special events.

Capacity: 40

ELI and Giles

While reservations for ELI and Giles are unavailable for Fall 2020, both rooms are available to students who need a place to study or participate in online classes.

Capacity: 15 people maximum in each room individually; 30 people maximum in combined ELI/Giles room

IHL Lab

An electronic classroom for lectures and class meetings.

Presentation Room 1405

A smaller, flexible space designed for presenters, frequently used for organizational meetings, interviews, dissertation defenses, and class meetings.

Presentation Room 2003

A smaller technology-enhanced room intended for academic and research group work/projects or meetings.

Presentation Room 3060 (The Think Tank)

A smaller technology-enhanced room with 3 whiteboard walls, intended for academic and research group work/projects or meetings.

AV Studio

Walk in with a jump drive, and begin recording professional audio or video presentations with a few mouse clicks.

Collaboration Studio

A multipurpose space that can be used for formal instruction as well as a large group study / meeting space or open group study space. Reservations take priority; when not reserved, the studio is open to small groups and individuals.

Old Main Academic Center

Policies

Individual rooms may have additional restrictions.

  • The Old Main Academic Center's primary purpose is to provide classroom, research, and study space for MSU faculty, staff, and students.
  • As with other classrooms, the Office of the Registrar will handle scheduling all of the classrooms each semester. Once classes have been scheduled for the semester, faculty and staff may request vacant classrooms for meetings or special events. Requests will be reviewed and approved by the Old Main Academic Center Coordinator and the Dean of Libraries.
  • Old Main Academic Center is not available for private events or for groups and individuals not affiliated with MSU.
  • To support the collegial atmosphere food and drinks are permitted through the common areas of Old Main Academic Center.

Small rooms with screens and laptop connections - perfect for collaboration and presentation practice.

Turner A. Wingo Auditorium

A 455-seat auditorium for classes and other events, equipped with a full sound system.

Amphitheater

Reservable by students, student groups, and faculty.
