On June 8, 2016, the crane used to hoist the steel beams and other materials for the Library expansion project was taken down. This marks another milestone in the expansion project and brings us a little closer to completing the project.
With the roof now on the new facility and the walls up, bricking of the facility is underway. Work continues on the internal structure preparing the floor for the next phase of the construction project.
Meanwhile, in May 3 additional RFPs were made available requesting contractors to bid on the next phases of the project. Phases include the creation of 4 life-size models of U. S. Grant; the production of interactive videos; and the fabrication of the exhibits space within the new facility.
