Beginning August 20, a new meeting room on the third floor of Mitchell Memorial Library will provide faculty and students with a technology-rich space that enhances collaborative learning and research. Presentation Room 3060 - "The Think Tank" – will seat up to eight individuals and is ideal for small group meetings, web-based conferencing, group training, search committee meetings requiring the use of Skype, Blackboard Collaborate, and practicing presentations.
Three of the four walls in the room have been coated with IdeaPaint, which converts the walls into floor-to-ceiling white boards. Some of the featured technology in the new presentation room entails a PC with wireless mouse, keyboard and webcam, a 60" LED television, and a conference telephone system. Available software includes Microsoft Office 2010, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat, VLC, Skype, and Camtasia.
Presentation Room 3060 will be available to University faculty, staff and students by reservation during Library hours. The technology-enhanced room is intended for academic and research group work/projects or meetings requiring technology. Rooms can be reserved by calling the Instructional Media Center at 662-325-7676 or by visiting http://library.msstate.edu/roomreserve.
