Over the next couple of months, Mitchell Memorial Library will undergo a major project to retrofit its lighting system by installing energy-efficient lighting. This project is part of the University's goal of reducing energy consumption across campus and lowering ongoing operational costs.
The majority of the work will take place from midnight until 8:00 a.m. While the construction crew works above the collection, they will cover the shelves to prevent damage to the materials. Once they complete their work for the day, they will remove the covering and clean the area.
If you need assistance retrieving materials from an area in which the crew is working, please contact Access Services.
The project begins October 14 and should end on December 16, 2013. For more information, visit http://www.msstate.edu/web/media/detail.php?id=6164.
