Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) aired highlights of the 2010 Charles Templeton Ragtime Jazz Festival on Friday, April 13, 2012, beginning at 9:00 p.m.

The Festival, which in March celebrated its sixth anniversary, annually features high-energy, dynamic performances by internationally known ragtime jazz pianists in concert in both Mississippi State University (MSU) Libraries and historic Bettersworth Auditorium in Lee Hall on the MSU campus.

The Friday evening broadcast of the Festival – sponsored by MSU Libraries; the Charles Templeton, Sr. Music Museum; the Starkville Area Arts Council; the Rotary Club of Starkville; the Greater Starkville Development Partnership; and, in part, by grants from the Mississippi Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts – featured performances and interviews by artists Frederick Hodges, David Jasen, Sonny Leyland, Adam Swanson, and Terry Waldo.
