Just in time for the 2010 Charles Templeton Ragtime Jazz Festival to be held March 26 & 27, 2010, MSU Librarie s announce the availability of their brand-new CD of Festival favorites.

For three years, the Charles Templeton Ragtime Jazz Festival has brought the sounds of ragtime, jazz, and boogie-woogie to Mississippi State University. Now you can bring this classic music into your home with 21 dynamic pieces performed by Mimi Blais, Sonny Leyland, Butch Thompson, Brian Holland, and David A. Jasen, and relive the magic of ragtime, anytime!

Selections from the 2009 Festival is a swinging collection of tunes recorded live during the 3rd annual Festival on March 27 & 28, 2009, at Mississippi State University.

Highlights on this album – available for $12 – include Mimi Blais and Brian Holland's duet of Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer," Sonny Leyland's rollicking "Blame it on the Blues," and Leyland's duet with Butch Thompson on Palmer & Williams' "I've Found a New Baby."
