Library News

The United States Research Guide created by LaDonne Delgado (Coordinator of Government Documents, Microforms, and Current Journals) has undergone a total transformation from a mere bibliography of useful information to an interactive, updated and revised new LibGuide.  Originally created in 2001 as a resource for teaching MSU faculty and students how to find and use government documents, this new and exciting LibGuide has evolved into a plethora of videos, blogs, RSS feeds, links to useful Websites, and links to books and materials within the Library which can be accessed by anyone via the Internet.

New to this version are sections on Atlases and Maps, Citing Government Information, and Notable Federal Documents.  There are also links to complementary LibGuides created by fellow librarians Christine Fletcher and Jason Phillips:  United States Decennial Censuses General Research Guide, Congressional Budget Office, and Congressional Research Service.

This version introduces vidoes, blogs, and RSS feeds which were not possible in previous editions and Delgado hopes that they will spark the interest of the techno-generation as well as returning users.  Visit this LibGuide at http://guides.library.msstate.edu/United_States and bring the world of U.S. government information alive for you.
