Library News
The Mississippi State University Libraries is now distributing EndNote X3 for Windows.  EndNote is a bibliographic management program that manages articles, citations, and research notes.

New to Version X3 are these features:

  • Use Group Sets to better organize your EndNote references.  Save references in groups and then save sets of groups in Group Sets.
  • Cite While You Write with the free Open Office.org Writer word processor.
  • Create a separate bibliography for each section in a single Word document.
  • In Microsoft Word, multiple citations that are grouped under a singl number can be differentiated with letters.
  • Find even more full-text documents with the Find Full Text option.
  • Use expanded and updated bibliographic output styles, import filters, and connection files.
  • Use EndNote with full compatibility with 64 bit versions of Microsoft Windows.

The Library continues to sell EndNote to the MSU community at a subsidized price of $75 for faculty/staff and $50 for students.  MSU users who have purchased older versions of EndNote from the MSU Libraries may pick up the newest version free of charge.  To purchase EndNote or to pick up the revised CD, please visit the Access Services Department on the second floor of the Mitchell Memorial Library.

A guide to EndNote at MSU is available online, where you’ll find additional information about using EndNote, updates, tutorials and free workshops.
