Mississippi State University Libraries is pleased to announce that Podcasts are being created to provide additional information about library services and events. In order to meet students and researchers where they live - podcasts are now available to provide audio (and some video) explanations that provide quick updates on what's happening in the library this week including special events, workshops, and more. Don't have time to read the Library website? Subscribe to a feed that downloads the latest library news to your iPod, MP3 player or computer.
In addition to the "This Week @ Your Library" podcast, others are being created to highlight the services offered by various library departments. These podcasts are generally 2-4 minutes long and provide information about how to use some of the library services or to highlight new services, databases, journals now availble at your library.
For more information on Podcasts visit the Libraries' Podcast website or search iTunes for MSU Libraries and download the podcasts.
A podcast is an audio and/or video file that is distributed on the Internet via RSS feeds and played on iPods and your personal computer. Individuals wanting to listen to a podcast can subscribe to and collect the podcasts through the use of an aggregator such as iTunes (http://www.itunes.com).
