The Starkville-Oktibbeha County Public Library System is joining a Mississippi State-based consortium that will greatly expand user access to holdings, streamline services and save money.
The system—which includes the Starkville Public Library, Maben Public Library and Sturgis Public Library—has agreed to merge its holdings with the 12-year-old Golden Triangle Regional Library Consortium. Patrons searching the MSU online catalog will not only see materials held by the MSU Libraries but will also see titles held by the Starkville-Oktibbeha County Library System as well as other Golden Triangle Regional Library members.
The materials will be migrated into the joint catalog beginning the last week of July with the migration being completed the first week of August.
