About MSU Libraries

Library News
Twenty-one award-winning photographs, taken by professional and amateur photographers, can be viewed in a traveling exhibition, Beyond Words: Celebrating Americas Libraries, located on the 3rd floor of Mitchell Memorial Library from November 6 to 28, 2003.

Through pictures, Beyond Words captures the spirit of our nations libraries and the many ways they touch our lives. Whether its a place to study, to surf the Internet, to enjoy a story, or to check out a new mystery or video, todays libraries provide an array of resources to build a nation of readers and lifelong learners and access all sorts of resources with the personal assistance of a librarian.

Sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and the Library of Congress, the exhibit is traveling throughout the United States.
