The Digital Media Center, located on the second floor of Mitchell Memorial Library, will undergo a major change with the addition of a new digital, High Definition (HD) -ready television studio suitable for filming/recording, editing, and producing high quality digital media video projects, as well as a One Button Studio and flexible classroom space / group study space. Construction is set to begin on Jan. 15 and be completed in April with the new facilities opening in Fall 2019.
Mississippi State University students and faculty will discover changes to Mitchell Memorial Library when they return for the spring semester. As if the addition of a fourth floor was not enough, the Library has been busy reorganizing the library collections and expanding services over the holiday break.
At the end of the Fall semester, MSU Libraries will begin the next phase of our long range plan for transforming Mitchell Memorial Library. Our goal is to provide more space for individual and collaborative student work; more services that meet the changing needs of students, faculty, and researchers; and more convenient organization of library collections.

The 3D craze continues to grow and the Mississippi State University Libraries is growing with it. The Libraries’ Digital Media Center has just expanded its 3D capabilities for the second time in a year.
