The Digital Media Center staff assists patrons through formal and informal instruction, including open workshops, tailored workshops for classes, departments and organizations, and one-on-one assistance. One core value of the new center is to empower its users to become comfortable and proficient in design, production, creation and editing, in a way that builds on their overall skill set. The center’s multi-media lab provides 32 computers, 17 scanners, music composition stations, video and audio capture and editing stations, 5 3D printers, 1 3D scanner, and the latest in software programs ranging from Adobe Creative Suite to Autocad to ArcGIS and more. The Digital Media Center also provides a makerspace where collaborative creating is encouraged. Other services offered through the center include media checkout, equipment checkout, color printing, wide-format printing and 3D printing and scanning.

A key value of the Digital Media Center is the empowerment of all users, from beginner to advanced, so that users become independent and proficient in high-end professional production and editing software that enhances their skills sets.

The Digital Media Center offers open workshops, one-on-one instruction, tutorials and handouts on the latest graphic design, GIS programs, and word processing software. Instructors, departments and individuals may also request customized workshops tailored to the needs of their class, employees or group.

The Digital Media Center offers an open lab with state-of-the-art hardware and software, in a spacious environment conducive to collaborative, innovative project work for individuals and groups. Our lab is staffed by professionals and highly-trained lab assistants, and is open more than 100 hours per week.

Print in color or black and white on a variety of papers sizes and types. Print your posters, banners and presentations, or print 3D projects in the Digital Media Center. Or scan on one of our 16 scanners (eight of which have document feeders), or 3D scanner. Laminate your projects for $0.50 per foot.

The Library offers a number of technology-equipped meeting rooms, computer labs, presentation spaces and an auditorium for classes, organizational meetings, presentations and more. Reserve one of these rooms through the Digital Media Center.

The Digital Media Center houses the Libraries’ media collection including DVDs, CDs, books on CD, and more. Come check it out.
