Hold Books

  Update to holds service during the COVID-19 outbreak

Holds have been suspended for all Mississippi Library Partnership libraries. MSU students, faculty, and staff can place holds on MSU materials. For help or more information, please call the Access Services desk at (662) 325-7668.

Placing books on hold is an easy way to get materials from any of the 55 libraries in the Mississippi Library Partnership!

Step 1: Find a book

Search for a book in our Online Catalog.

Step 2: Place a hold

Click the "Place Hold" link. You'll be asked to log in to your Online Catalog account. (If you have trouble logging in, contact Access Services at (662) 325-7668.)

Step 3: Choose a pickup location

Tell us where you'd like to pick up your book and click the "Place Hold" button to finalize the hold.

Step 4: Pick up your book

The book's home library will send it to your selected pickup location. This usually takes between 1 and 14 days, depending on the book's availability and the library's distance from your pickup location. We'll email you when the book is ready for pickup.
