The Library faculty and staff are committed to excellence and to the University's overall goals of teaching, research and service. We are committed to making the Library "The Place" where patrons are secure in knowing that they will have the facilities, services, resources, assistance and support that they need. The MSU Libraries is comprised of the Main Library, Mitchell Memorial Library, and two branch libraries, Architecture Branch Library and the College of Veterinary Medicine Library. In addition to an expanding collection of over 2,053,064 volumes and a journal collection of 18,103 titles, including 6,148 electronic subscriptions, an array of other resources is made available via the World Wide Web (WWW) and through other expanding information technology resources. The goal of gaining membership in the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and the challenges of planning for and implementing future projects which include new "learning communities" and the integration of networking and networked information into graduate, undergraduate and research programs are major, but fascinating, challenges to an outstanding Library faculty and staff.
